I know some of you saw this headline and thought I was going to perhaps reveal the date of the next album releasing. If this is so…than I will probably disappoint in this here entry.

We are a different kind of band. Not to make us sound special or superior, but we do have a NFL player in our band and if you know of another band with the same situation please let us know. Since we are “different” I thought I would explain one of the main differences that we have from other bands in this industry. Most bands release an album and travel immediately following to promote said album for up to a year. Connersvine however, released our album during football season (October) and only began to tour to promote in January. We have done as much as we can
throughout the spring and some of the summer. Yet again… FOOTBALL Season! SO, this is where you come in! We as a band really rely on this time of year to be a time of creativity. I think it would be safe to say that most of our songs have come during this season. God has us home (for the most part) and has in the past given us much inspiration during this time where we cannot travel and play. So, please continue your prayers that God would cover us and bring us inspiration and creativity. Especially over Hunter that in the midst of playing football he would have time to create musically as well. We are so grateful for the prayers of those that support our ministry and just want to let you all know how much we covet those prayers! thank you all, we love you!

Well, the summer is coming to a close which means football is getting ready to start. We play 5 preseason games this season. (regularly 4) Yuck. That’s a lot of energy to expend for something that will pretty much just go away. Obviously I want to do well with those opportunities, but you do kinda get get ready for real bullets to fly after a while. I covet any prayers you can offer up in this time for my family and me. It is difficult being away but it always seems to go quickly. Before we know it it will be September and we’ll be lining up for our first game in the new stadium. I am as excited for this season as I’ve ever been for one. I truly believe my glad anticipation is from God.

This off season has been an amazing time of growth for me with regard to my perspective on football. Once again God has driven home the truth (through different means) that He is all that matters. Not wins, not “platforms”, not album sales or contracts, not even ministry. Loving Him and loving others is first . . . . . . . and only! Lord, may we always err on the side of loving You and others. And, in doing so, not err at all.
