Camp is going well. It is hot here but it’s been worse in past years. Chris and I always joke about camp being crafts, campfires, and kumbayah. (is that how you spell that?) Well, it’s not all of that but we do have food and sports here. I have actually ran into Connersvine supporters here! That has given me an extra lift. There isn’t much to really blog about. Here’s a typical day:

I appreciate your prayers in this time. We had a great season of Connersvine stuff and we’re looking forward to a few dates this fall. Oh yeah, God is starting to pour out creativity for our second album. The ideas are coming in and even though it’s a long way off I am excited about it’s prospects. Hope you are all well. Blessings!

Hunter, I got the opportunity to meet you at Colts training camp this week. I have been a huge Colts fan for years now. I love watching you play, and you are my favorite on the team. I was so “star-struck” when I met you I couldn’t get anything out but my name. I came home and was looking online when I found out about your band. I had no idea you were talented in so many ways. I have been reading your page and I must say you truly amaze me. You are a wonderful person both on and off the field. God bless you.

Boo. I’m glad you let us know,I’m for sure not signing up for this camp! SECOND ALBUM? YIPEE! can’t wait ,I pray God just drenches you with lyrics and melodies!! How long is a (long way off?) Just wanted to let you know we’re thinking about ya and pray that the peace of God and the freshness of the Holy Spirit rest in your thoughts,rule in your dreams tonight, and just conquers all your fears. Hunter, I have thought before how difficult it must be to live the life of a professional athlete, but never before has that athlete been a real person… someone that I could relate to. I honestly can’t imagine how difficult this time can be. Thank you for what you do with Connersvine and with the Colts. Being a Hoosier transplanted to central IL (middle of Bears country) isn’t always the safest place to live if you’re a Colts fan, but getting to watch you play, knowing that your heart is with Christ, just makes it that much better! Lifting you up in prayer…
Hunter, I love the band’s music and I’m a lifelong football fan, but I have only this to say: GO PATRIOTS! I’m a proud member of Patriot Nation…. sorry! :p
However, I do wish you safe travels & plays during the season. I am a football fan at heart, so I cheer for the game… when the Pats aren’t playing… and… we are brothers & sisters in Christ. That is the most important team of all, and I’m glad to see a pro athlete so open and real about his faith. Thanks for that.
I’m still loving your CD… I’ll enjoy the 08/09 season while waiting for the next album!

Now that the kids are back to school I’ll have more time to check out your site. Thanks for the autographs at camp. We ended up going 3 times and it was a lot of fun. The kids were so disappointed when they cut off the autograph line and we were about 10 people away. We really appreciate you coming over and signing our CD and their shirts. My kids were very excited because yours was the autograph that they wanted most. They were hoping to get to talk to you for a few minutes, but it looks like they keep you on a pretty tight schedule. I’m sure it gets frustrating some times when everyone is shoving stuff at you to sign and then you need to get moving. Thank you also for being such a positive role model for young colts fans and letting them know how important your faith is in your life. I hope that more kids will be encouraged to share their faith with their peers. I did not see the start of the game on Sat. to see if you weren’t feeling well or if you were injured, but either way, I’m sure just being back home with your wife and kids will make everything better.
I love what God is doing through you and Chris and Connersvine! I hope the ideas keep flowing and you can use your talents humbly to strenghten Christ-followers and lead others to Him!!!
