OK, so my wife and I don’t watch a lot of TV, but tonight we saw a show on FOX called “Moment of Truth”. have y’all seen it? What are you’re thoughts? Is it really worth it to put important relationships on the line for cash? There is the obvious answer everyone thinks they should give, but then what about the people who actually go on the show? Obviously there are people who are willing to inflict wounds on loved ones and ditch there dignity for money. Do you have a price tag? What is it?

Oh, and by the way… Happy Valentine’s Day

I’ve seen the show and I think I am more bothered by what people admit and have no shame about.
:( Risking their dignity, yeah I guess so.
I have to agree with you. I don’t think that your family and friends are worth any amount of money. I haven’t watched the show, just seen the commercials (during NFL games, interestingly enough), but from what I’ve seen it could really tear apart some relationships and ruining their reputation and dignity.
Happy Valentine’s Day Hunter! Funny you should mention this show.We had this on last night also, only because it follows American Idol. I was at the kitchen table with 4 college age kids. We were talking about the meaning of being humble, and what humility is about. This show comes on and they all jump up and run in to watch. They all said “oh this is a great show”! I was, and still am just shocked! To me this show is nothing short of TRASH ! People just don’t value friends and family the way they should. It’s all about the money! The people that go on this show have no dignity, and would do anything for a buck no matter who they hurt.I just don’t get it.It’s just a sad world.Trying to explain this to these kids, well they looked at me like I had 3 heads! It’s as if people get a high off of other people’s misery. It is my prayer and my hope ,that all grow up Big in their faith and find some compassion.

Just watching the previews alone made me sick-I think it is awful that people are willing to do this to their loved ones. It is just simply not worth it-I guess it really shows the world we live in, and how much everyone needs to know the real love of God!!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
By the way, I linked your blog to mine-feel free to stop by! Blessings~
I only watch Survivor but other than that the other reality shows are garbage. BTW, have a great Valentine’s you and Chris!
hey howdy hey,
i love when you blog cause chris gives us the info, and u give us the chanllenge and make me think, which is hard.
no ihave not seen the show but from what you describe it, i would not want to. no amount of cash is enough to ruin relationships, no matter what kind. iwant to say i do not have a price tag, but whe we arent talking about money. if someone would hurt me so bad that i would never heal from it, i wold LOVE to say i would forgive them, but i dont know until i’m in that situation.
What I wonder is how many people have tried out for the show and were turned away for not being “juicy” enough. I mean, if you have nothing to hide, it might totally be worth it to go on the show and win money! But that doesn’t make for good television. I’ve only seen parts of the show because I have no desire to watch an entire episode.
I haven’t watch the show, but have seen the plugs for it. It really made me sick to my stomach when I saw the plug of the married woman who said she would “get back” with her ex if he asked. Those shows have gone way too far.
dude!! THAT’S MY FAV SHOW!
