Well, I have officially moved on. This weekend my family begins a new adventure in our nation’s capitol with the Washington Redskins. Our first mini camp will be a wild transition for me. Since college I have worn the blue and white.
I have so enjoyed the past 10 years playing for the Colts in one of the greatest cities in the world. Indianapolis will continue to be our home until God moves us elsewhere. Maybe he won’t move us anywhere else permanently??? However, right now God is moving and we are following Him into the wonderful unknown.
Connersvine continues to be strong and will remain largely unaffected by this change. We believe God is in this and He is doing something great through it all!
Thank you all for your prayers through this time.
Hunter
We have had a great week off and we are getting to travel yet again. Saturday we will be heading down to Nashville, TN for GMA week to hang with some industry folks. From there we will be heading further South to Sherman, TX. Sherman is Hunter’s hometown where we will get the opportunity to hang with Hunter’s family. Please pray for our travel and if you are in the area come and check us out Friday night in Sherman at Wynne Chapel. I will be wearing a cowboy hat and boots…and most likely spurs.
Also…I am heading down there with the sole intention of messing with Texas. I will let you know how it goes.
Chris

Ok, folks. After Chris publicly discredited my new love of animals as
some sort of utilitarian partnership I felt the need to add to our pet
number, to the tune of 4 ducklings. Now Mr. Wilson, I am not going to
eat the ducks or their eggs. (I don’t think….can you eat duck eggs?)
They were on the cusp of lifelong loneliness when 2 of our good friends
purchased them and gifted them to us. That’s 29 pets in the Smith
house. All of them companions we love dearly.
Oh yeah, I’m building them all a beautiful cage made entirely from 99%
recycled material. Keep it green folks…..keep it green.
HS

Ok, I am the new biggest pet lover in Connersvine.
I purchased 41 chickens last Saturday. 15 laying hens and 26 baby chicks. The chicks are so darn cute. Even I have to admit it. I really like raising chickens. The eggs are delicious. Did you know that when you buy eggs at the store they are at least a month old? The way they doctor them up preserves their lifespan. (and shortens your’s) Anybody ever raised chickens? No, this isn’t a joke. I am learning as I go and having a blast!
