OK, I just got back from my ultrasound appointment. After going to the WRONG hospital, I finally got to the right place. The technician rubbed weird stuff on my stomach then took about a hundred pictures with the camera. The good news is…It’s a BOY!!!

Just kidding. Of course they told me nothing and it will be a couple days until I hear from my doctor. I am sure that you are all losing sleep waiting on my diagnosis but I will let you know ASAP.

To whom it may concern:
I felt fine this weekend not too much pain. My wife and I spent the whole weekend painting our living room and dining room. Wednesday morning I have an Ultrasound scheduled and this should reveal whether or not I have a gall stone. I will be happy to know what the test reveals, also the ultrasound should tell me if I am pregnant or not. Here’s to hoping!

So, I took a little trip to the emergency room last night (note the very attractive picture above). My wife came home around 5pm and we were cleaning up the kitchen together when I began feeling a sharp pain in my abdomen.

After about 5 hours of writhing in pain and not being able to find comfort in any position my wife forced me to go to the emergency room around 10:30 pm (thank goodness for good wives). So they ran a blood test in which they couldn’t get a vein so they dug around in my arm until they found one, this was a lot of fun. Next they gave me what they called a “GI cocktail” (and no this was not as much fun as it may sound). You chug a concoction that tastes and feels like the fluoride treatment you got as a kid at the dentist. This is to determine if it is just indigestion…and it wasn’t so it did nothing except taste like DEATH.

The doctor pushed around on my mid-region for a while and determined that it wasn’t my appendix. They did however give me a little morphine which was the highlight of the evening. So after a couple
hours of sitting in a room that was about as warm and inviting as a jail cell he gave me a couple prescriptions and sent me without really knowing what was wrong but I did get a really cool hospital bracelet. We think it may be a gall stone which I am really looking forward to. I am supposed
wait to see if the pain comes back and run a couple more tests so I will keep you posted.

With this said, I am fine and am feeling much better today and I will keep everyone posted. Hopefully I will have some more cool photos to show you. Who knows we may be able to use these as our next album cover.

So, generally blogs are very one sided. I want to hear from you and what questions you may have for me. Maybe you don’t have any questions and this is a lame idea but I thought I would see.

At least someone ask a question so I don’t become horribly insecure.

I remember when Solitaire was thought to be the end of Western civilization as we knew it. Millions of people were playing solitaire on their computers instead of doing their jobs. Well, I understand the battle. On my Blackberry I have this game called Brick Breaker and it is heavily addictive. Many times I don’t even want to play but find myself picking up my phone and getting sucked in once again. Not to sell out my wife, but we have kinda had an ongoing battle for who can beat the each others new high score. I have recently Blown Away my wife’s previous record of 13,000 with a remarkable 25,000. She feels very threatened, but is sure that she can defeat the master…we will see.

I don’t know if there is a Pro-circuit for Brick Breaker but this may be my new calling. I like to think of it like that 80’s movie “The Wizard” with Fred Savage where there is that huge video game competition. I think I might be the Brick Breaker “Wizard”.

Well, yeah. The Colts lost tonight. I know this is unfortunate having the most famous NFL punter in Contemporary Christian Music history. Here is the reality…Hunter is a STUD! We all know that I know NOTHING about football but punting to Devin Hester and putting the ball in his hands has to be a gamble. However, being the all star that Hunter is he punted straight at him and said “Bring It”! OK, maybe this is me adlibbing but I think Hunter is good at his “other” job.

Let me know your thoughts on the game. Maybe I can learn something!

Continuing to write and fighting insomnia. I have never been good with disciplined writing. I have heard that many writers sit down for hours at a certain time every day and write. I have always only been able to write when I am inspired by something. So, I am trying to be more disciplined in my writing habits but for some odd reason I am only really inspired late at night. Here is a intimate look at how I approach writing (this may be strange so be warned).

This is most nights…not all. After I tuck my wife into bed I come downstairs and turn on Letterman. I have to have something on TV, if it is too quiet it feels like school! Melodies have always come easy to me as my head is generally consumed by them. I often hum for a lot of the day and just recently realized that people hear it. Lyrics don’t come quite as easily. So I labor over lyrics and generally throw about 3/4 of what I write away. I love writing but it becomes very frustrating when I write something that I really think is pretty good and wake up the next morning and read it and think it sucks. I am an insecure artist so I try and take my critiques with a grain of salt and remember this fact.

This is pretty much my routine every night. May not be quite as glamorous as you thought…you probably didn’t think it was glamorous anyway. Well, that’s pretty much it.

Hey all! I just wanted to send out a reminder about this Friday nights
event. Again, this night is to support Love146 (www.love146.org). It would
mean a lot to us for any of you in the Indianapolis to come out and support
this great cause with us. It will be at Common Ground Christian Church at
7:00pm. There will be two other bands and we will close out the night. Hope
to see you there!
