Hey! its been awhile. Since we don’t have too many shows going on right now because of football season I thought I would write a very informative email on the Colts game last night.
Many of you know that I am not an athlete and don’t really know very much about sports but being in a band with a football player I think I will be able to give a very good recall of last nights game even for the biggest sports enthusiast. It was a warm evening in Indianapolis last night as we looked for a parking space near the stadium. We past men with flags attempting to lure us in with promises of “safety” and short walks. However, I read the small print signs that read “$40 for parking”! this may be one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen. So we continued going further and further away from the stadium going down roads we probably had no business going down. After doing about three U-turns in the middle of major roads I found a parking lot for $15 down a dark alley (really, it was rather shady). However, being 7pm it was still light out so I thought it would be alright. So after 15 minutes of walking we arrived at the new Lucas Oil Stadium (nothing gets me more excited about my home team like Lucas Oil).
OK, I will admit not being much of a sports fan I have had my reservations about Indy’s new billion dollar stadium. However, as we walked in I realized something…it’s really shiny! I have always had a fondness for shiny things. I think there may be more flat screen TV’s in there than in all of China. So, on to the game itself. Hunter punted really well! This is about all I really understood about the game but I assume its probably enough for you to have a firm grasp on last night. I am sure that after reading this blog entry ESPN will probably want to offer me a position for their magazine or maybe even a commentating position. But, even though it is an obvious gifting of mine it is not my passion. So, regretfully I must decline any offers despite my vast knowledge and understanding of the game. My only prayer is that all this “sports lingo” hasn’t gone over everyone’s head.
-still just a humble musician,
chris
