Hey everyone, I hate to throw my celebrity weight around to promote my own causes but I recently came across a new artist that I just had to share with you. I know that posting this blog to the thousands and thousands… and thousands of connersvine.com readers will instantly launch this guy to Rock Star status and international fame but I think its time for the world to know about him. With great power comes great responsibility.

His name is Mike Smith. I told him he should lengthen in to Michael Smith and maybe even use his middle initial “W” (since it’s worked so well for the current President). Also, it kinda has that Johnny Cougar Mellencamp feel. Smitty, as I like to call him, has that retro 80’s feel to his music which
is so hot right now. Bands like the Killers have tried to imitate his “old-school” synthesizer sound.

The picture above is of his new album. I love his “vintage” look in the cover shot, he is such a risk taker with those colors and shoulder pads.

P.S. Holding the hat across his chest was my idea!

Welcome to the first round of “GUESS THAT DISEASE”!!!

As many of you know already I (Chris) have been struggling with some health issues over the past few weeks. I have spoken to a few different doctors, taken multiple blood tests and have spent countless hours on WebMD and Wikipedia (the latter being the most credible source). Still, no definitive answers of what’s going on with me. So, here is my idea…I am creating a contest I cleverly will refer to as “Guess That Disease”! Below I will list my symptoms and you the reader has the opportunity to guess what’s wrong. I don’t really have any great gifts but I will give an autographed CD to whoever guesses correctly.

Of course I will need to figure out what that is as well.  I will fairly go ahead and let you know what I know for sure it isn’t. I am sure that there are thousands of die hard Connersvine fans that already have a lot of money on this but if you guessed Hepatitis…Ohhh, sorry you are wrong!

Here are the symptoms:
Fatigue
Low Grade Fever
Dizziness
Sharp pain below the Sternum
Liver Enzymes are High
Occasional Back Pain
…bad bathroom experiences (I am just going to leave it at that)
Joint Pain
Uh, I think that’s it…

Let the games begin!

OK, I just got back from my ultrasound appointment. After going to the WRONG hospital, I finally got to the right place. The technician rubbed weird stuff on my stomach then took about a hundred pictures with the camera. The good news is…It’s a BOY!!!

Just kidding. Of course they told me nothing and it will be a couple days until I hear from my doctor. I am sure that you are all losing sleep waiting on my diagnosis but I will let you know ASAP.

To whom it may concern:
I felt fine this weekend not too much pain. My wife and I spent the whole weekend painting our living room and dining room. Wednesday morning I have an Ultrasound scheduled and this should reveal whether or not I have a gall stone. I will be happy to know what the test reveals, also the ultrasound should tell me if I am pregnant or not. Here’s to hoping!

So, I took a little trip to the emergency room last night (note the very attractive picture above). My wife came home around 5pm and we were cleaning up the kitchen together when I began feeling a sharp pain in my abdomen.

After about 5 hours of writhing in pain and not being able to find comfort in any position my wife forced me to go to the emergency room around 10:30 pm (thank goodness for good wives). So they ran a blood test in which they couldn’t get a vein so they dug around in my arm until they found one, this was a lot of fun. Next they gave me what they called a “GI cocktail” (and no this was not as much fun as it may sound). You chug a concoction that tastes and feels like the fluoride treatment you got as a kid at the dentist. This is to determine if it is just indigestion…and it wasn’t so it did nothing except taste like DEATH.

The doctor pushed around on my mid-region for a while and determined that it wasn’t my appendix. They did however give me a little morphine which was the highlight of the evening. So after a couple
hours of sitting in a room that was about as warm and inviting as a jail cell he gave me a couple prescriptions and sent me without really knowing what was wrong but I did get a really cool hospital bracelet. We think it may be a gall stone which I am really looking forward to. I am supposed
wait to see if the pain comes back and run a couple more tests so I will keep you posted.

With this said, I am fine and am feeling much better today and I will keep everyone posted. Hopefully I will have some more cool photos to show you. Who knows we may be able to use these as our next album cover.

So, generally blogs are very one sided. I want to hear from you and what questions you may have for me. Maybe you don’t have any questions and this is a lame idea but I thought I would see.

At least someone ask a question so I don’t become horribly insecure.

I remember when Solitaire was thought to be the end of Western civilization as we knew it. Millions of people were playing solitaire on their computers instead of doing their jobs. Well, I understand the battle. On my Blackberry I have this game called Brick Breaker and it is heavily addictive. Many times I don’t even want to play but find myself picking up my phone and getting sucked in once again. Not to sell out my wife, but we have kinda had an ongoing battle for who can beat the each others new high score. I have recently Blown Away my wife’s previous record of 13,000 with a remarkable 25,000. She feels very threatened, but is sure that she can defeat the master…we will see.

I don’t know if there is a Pro-circuit for Brick Breaker but this may be my new calling. I like to think of it like that 80’s movie “The Wizard” with Fred Savage where there is that huge video game competition. I think I might be the Brick Breaker “Wizard”.
