Gone Fishin’

fishing.jpgHello, we are getting ready for our next run on the Winter Jam tour. We will be in Illinois, Ohio, and Missouri over the next four days. Being off the last couple days has been nice. The MercyMe crew guys and I spent the day Tuesday going fishing in Florida. Even though the guys caught nothing we had a great time on the boat all day and it was much warmer than Indy. We spent Wednesday in Nashville hanging out and catching up with friends and on sleep.

I am looking forward to this weekend as my wife and family will be coming out to Cincinnati and Columbus to check out the tour. Our blog family has been quickly growing and we greatly appreciate your support and commitment to check up on what’s going on with us. If you get to come check out a show please stop by our table and let us know you have been reading our blog. Also, pass the link along to your friends! Look forward to hearing and seeing you all soon.

Chris

It was great to meet you guys last night. I want to apologize to you, Chris… In my excitement over actually getting to meet Hunter (being the HUGE Colts fan that I am, that totally made my night!! My family thinks I’m crazy, because I rarely miss a Colts game!), I completely didn’t even say hello to you! I am listening to the CD right now, and it is great. I’ll definitely be following this group!

I must say that just arriving home from Winter Jam in Columbus… that y’all really moved through the crowd. I took my 12 year old son and some youth from my husband’s church. We danced and the kids got a (not too rare) chance to see me and all my mid-thirties glory act a complete fool. We are all totally getting into the show and having a blast…. then you guys performed “Hero”… I know this song must be of great personal import to you and thats an awesome thing, BUT my son? his friends? (some of who walk through valleys that you nor I could even begin to comprehend at their age) were all brought to tears. I looked around at my motley crew with tears in my eyes only to see these hard, tough, young men holding hands and weeping. I just want you both to know that the tools God has given you… very powerful. Thank you for being true.

Hey guys! Heard you at Winter Jam in Cincy OH. We actually drove two hours to get there. We live in Springfield, Oh…I know Columbus would have been closer, but I had to work. Anyway, I had never heard of your group before Sat. and I really enjoyed what I heard. (my ears were still ringing from Skillet) My youngest son is a guitar player so I am sure I will getting my hands on one of your recording soon! We both had a great time at the concert. But more importantly he’s recommitted himself to Christ. Thank you for coming and thank the rest of the crew for putting on a concert that is affordable for a family of 5 to attend!
